ActivIdentity 508 Compliance

Overview
This website is designed to be accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities, pursuant to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

If you have any difficulties in accessing the information given in any of our documents or need further assistance, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@actividentity.com or call +1 510.574.0100.

What is 508 Compliance?
Section 508 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 which requires that electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the Federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.

On August 7, 1998, the President signed into law the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, which includes the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998.

Section 508 was originally added to the Rehabilitation Act in 1986; the 1998 amendments significantly expand and strengthen the technology access requirements in Section 508.

ActivIdentity’s Commitment
ActivIdentity is committed to improving the accessibility of its software products and solutions.

To implement this commitment, ActivIdentity's current product plans include incorporating Section 508 access standards in our components, solutions, products, and documentation.

We have made changes and plan to continue to make changes to those products that do not comply with the Section 508 standards so that they will be compliant in a future release.

ActivIdentity expects to satisfy Section 508 accessibility requirements by implementing the following plan:

  • Provide full disclosure of the Section 508-compliant status of our products in conformance with applicable accessibility legislation
  • Design our software products to promote maximum accessibility by the widest range of users as a fundamental component of feature functionality
  • Continually test and evaluate our software products against the accessibility standards set forth in implementing regulations
  • Remedying products that fall short of the accessibility standards by making any necessary changes to a nonconforming feature for inclusion in the next release of the product, certain changes, including accessibility of end-user tools, may be accomplished in phases over several successive releases (It may not be possible to correct older products and products that are no longer in general use)
  • Ensure that we develop and maintain applications in conformance with accessibility standards when performing services for customers who are subject to the provisions of Section 508

For your convenience, www.section508.gov is the official government Web site for Section 508 information.
