ActivID
ActivID™ is the market-leading suite of device and credential management products from ActivIdentity that allow business and government customers to securely deploy and manage smart cards and USB tokens containing a variety of credentials including PKI certificates, one-time passwords, static passwords, biometrics, demographic data, and virtually any other application.
- ActivID Card Management System (CMS) – For organizations deploying smart cards or USB tokens to a large population of end-users (from 1,000 to several millions), ActivID CMS provides a secure, proven and extensible solution to issue and manage these devices securely, including the ability to update the applications and credentials on the cards securely after they are issued to the end-users. ActivIdentity CMS supports out-of-the-box a wide variety of Operating Systems, Directories, Identity Management and Provisioning Systems, Certificate Authorities, Physical Access Control Systems, Smart Cards and USB Tokens.
- ActivID CMS Software Development Kit (SDK) – For customers, integrators and technology partners that want to customize, extend and integrate the ActivID Card Management System, the ActivID CMS SDK provides a set of open APIs. Typical examples of SDK usage include integration with additional Identity Management and Provisioning Systems, Physical Access Control Systems, Badging Applications, and Certificate Authorities, as well as modification of the data structure on the card.
- ActivID Batch Management System (BMS) – For organizations deploying large quantities of smart cards in centralized high-volume card production facilities, ActivID BMS extends ActivID CMS by enabling communication with a service bureau for personalization and encoding of smart cards. ActivID BMS creates and manages batches of smart card requests and exchanges information with the service bureau that executes these requests and produces the cards. ActivID BMS also communicates with ActivID CMS to enable secure post-issuance activation and lifecycle management of the smart cards after the production is completed.
- ActivID Key Management System (KMS) – The security of a smart card or USB token deployment relies heavily on adequate protection of the cryptographic keys that protect access to the content of these devices. ActivID KMS provides complete lifecycle management of the keys and the Hardware Security Modules (HSM) that hold them. A basic version of ActivID KMS is provided with each ActivID CMS product, and customers can upgrade to a full-featured version of ActivID KMS for additional key lifecycle management and HSM lifecycle management capabilities, as well as HSM inventory tracking.
