Product Support Life Cycle
ActivIdentity is committed to assisting customers with their ActivIdentity products throughout the product life cycle and as products are updated and enhanced. ActivIdentity provides full support for all its products from the date of market availability until the product has been withdrawn from the market. At ActivIdentity we apply the following support coverage to the different product life cycle phases:
- Full support – Hot Fixes are created when needed.
- Limited support – Hot Fixes are created only for critical security issues.
- End of support (EOL) – Commercially reasonable support on a case-by-case basis. No Hot Fixes.
ActivIdentity notifies customers at support contract renewal of any price changes or support-level changes. ActivIdentity formally notifies all support subscribers of end-of-support dates.
The End-Of-Support for a particular version is ReleaseDate(next release) + 26 months.
Example:
- Version 1.0 is released on January 1, 2011
- Version 1.1 or 2.0 is released on July 1, 2011
- Version 1.0 Full Support and still available for purchase by new customers July 1, 2011 until August 31, 2011
- Version 1.0 Full Support but not for sale to new customers (ok for existing customers) August 31, 2011 until August 31, 2012
- Version 1.0 Limited Support only from August 31, 2012 until August 31, 2013
- Version 1.0 End of support (EOL) after August 31, 2013
